Properties, development and application of titanium

February 15,2023

Titanium  is a widely distributed metal element. It ranks seventh in the metal reserves in nature, and its consumption is the third metal behind aluminum and iron. It is widely used in all walks of life. The density of titanium is about 60% of 4.5g/cm3 steel, but its strength is very close to that of steel, and it has the advantages of light weight and high strength.Titanium  is easy to dissolve at room temperature, but does not react with chlorine and nitric acid, and has certain corrosion resistance.

At present, titanium materials mainly include industrial pure titanium and titanium alloys.

It is widely used in military and civil fields such as aerospace, weapons, chemistry, metallurgy, ship industry, marine development, etc.
