Cemented carbide seats for sealing valves for valve fittings
Tungsten carbide seats are made from a mixture of tungsten and carbon heated at high temperatures. Most tungsten carbide has high hardness, good wear resistance, low decomposition at high temperatures, and good oxidation resistance. Field investigation shows that the wear resistance of tungsten carbide is 100 times higher than that of tool steel, stainless steel, iron and brass under abrasive wear, erosion wear and abrasion, rigidity is 2 ~ 3 times higher than that of steel, and rigidity is 4 ~ 6 times higher than that of cast iron and brass. The impact resistance of tungsten carbide is similar to that of hardened tool steel.
The cemented carbide seat, also known as the cemented carbide seal ring, has a series of excellent properties such as high hardness, wear resistance, good strength and toughness, heat resistance and corrosion resistance, especially its high hardness and wear resistance, even at the temperature of 500℃ is basically unchanged, at 1000℃ still has a high hardness. Used with hard alloy valve core, has excellent sealing and wear resistance, alloy seat bevel is smooth and smooth.
